The Not So Habitual Offender

It’s in the blood, in the head
Even if you’re a thoroughbred
DNA, RNA, chromosomes
Genes, genetics, and genomes

It is a disease
So say the decrees
Remedies, on the brink of invention
DEA and the likes, looking after prevention

It is best, therefore, to fix yourself, not
If you do, ensure not getting caught
Momentarily, yes, not for long should you surrender
Lest you become a habitual offender

The road, would then, be anything but even
Probably one, which only you believe in
Twisted, turning, towards exploration and exhilaration
Leading to contemplation, tribulation, maybe, obliteration
