A hitherto unexplained earthquake hit Ayodhya
Babri Masjid, the epicenter
Its tremors felt no further
Several well-meaning folk climbed atop the mosque
Trying to hold it together with hammers and tongs
Alas, their efforts were in vain
Babri did not take long to fall
Dissenters soon started spreading lies
Accusing the well-meaning folk
Suggesting the demolition was meticulously planned
Filing criminal cases too
My faith in the judiciary now stands affirmed
Quick to separate the chaff from the wheat
All the accused deemed innocent
